Book Activity
Please check availability on our calendar page.
If you would like to book a trip, just send us an email or
a Facebook message,
and we will confirm availability. Your activity will be booked upon receipt of your payment.
Please remember that if we are out with a group it can be tricky to get hold of us straight away. Leave a message via the
method of your choice, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Emails and Facebook messages are checked every evening.
Last Minute Decisions
If you are interested in coming out today, and on our
calendar it looks like we have space for you, you are
welcome to come along to our trailer at Lamlash pier (for kayaking or gorge walking, at 9.30 or 1.30) or Arran Active in Brodick for hillwalking (check
times on calendar) on the off chance. You'll need to bring cash, though, and be aware that we might have already taken a late booking and not be able
to fit you in.

Cancellation by Otter's Tail
"Whether the weather is hot,
Or whether the weather is not,
We'll weather the weather, whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not."
Anon
At Otter's Tail we don't like cancelling trips, but sometimes the weather has the final say. We are happy whatever the weather
so long as it is safe for your activity.
Sea kayaking and hillwalking are not possible in very strong winds. After heavy rain (on Arran? Surely not!) the water
level in the gorge can rise to a level where it is not safe to go in. If the weather doesn't play ball and it is not safe
to go, then we will offer you a full refund. We hope you will try another activity with us - gorge walking is not wind
dependant, and rain doesn't stop play for sea kayaking or hillwalking - or book again on another day, but that choice is yours.
Cancellation by you
If you wish to cancel a place on one of our activities prior to 14 days' notice then we will refund your money
minus a 25% deposit. Unfortunately, if you need to cancel within 14 days of your activity we can't offer you
a refund. We recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover any such eventualities.
