We offer canoe expedition holidays where you can experience the excitement of a rapid, the tranquillity of a night paddle, the joy of a wild encounter, the satisfaction of learning a new skill and the contentment following a perfect day in the company of a small group of like-minded people.

With over fifteen years of experience canoe expeditioning we can offer an exciting range of trips to suit all levels of fitness and ability and the chance to visit some of the more remote parts of Scotland in a non-intrusive way. See Expeditions page.

We enjoy the versatility of Canadian canoes, and depending on which trip you choose you can expect to sail, track, line, pole and portage your boat as well as paddling it. We also offer introductory days and coaching courses, if you have not done much canoeing then these days will help you decide which trip would suit you. For those with more experience we offer training and assessment up to 3 star level and also specific training for expeditioning skills such as sailing, tracking and poling. See Day Trips page.

Otter’s Tail Adventures is run by Andy McNamara who amongst other outdoor qualifications is an experienced level 4 Canoe Coach and Mountain Leader. He believes that canoeing more often makes you a better person.
